Poon's Wontoneria Residency at Carousel Finishes
On 8th Feb 2023, we launched Wontoneria at @carousel_ldn as a lunchtime only, 3-month pop-up. 12 months and 220,000+ wontons later, we bid farewell to our little 16-seater home.
Thank you to Ed and Ollie Templeton and the wonderful team at Carousel for the collaboration.
More importantly, thank YOU, our customers, for the support. Yesterday, we managed to feed 99 lovely people who came for the last hurrah. You have shown us so much love and enthusiasm to spur us on to our next chapter.
I couldn’t have done any of this without my team. The temporary nature of pop-ups makes recruitment doubly difficult in an industry that is super short-staffed. We have had people who worked a week, a few months, and some who stayed the course. Somehow, we managed to power through, so I owe a huge thank you to Team Wontoneria. 🙏🙏🙏
After we pack up, I am declaring Wednesday a “Poonblic” holiday (maximum 🧀!) before we crack on with V 2.0
